Activities

The school’s special classroom teachers, nurses, therapists and other professionals are here to support students’ learning in every way possible.

Ruskis offers students tailored support and a range of services to help them learn. Our barrier-free facilities are designed for students to develop their skills and independence.

At Ruskis, pupils have the opportunity to develop their cognitive, social and essential life skills, giving them the tools to find their place in the local community and society.

Our teaching, which caters to the individual pupil, is based on conductive education principles, functionality and experiential learning. Our activities are guided by the needs of our students. Class size is determined by specific learning needs. Each student follows an individual education plan (IEP).

Healthcare and rehabilitation services are available on-site throughout the school day. An after-school programme provides activities for students enrolled in the day programme while the school’s residential home caters to boarding students. During school holidays students can join camps organised by the school.
